Ron Cuny
Owner/Builder
Ron grew up in Mobile, Alabama but has called the Eastern Shore home since 1991. He has an AS in Computer Science. His passion for building began in 1991 when he was exposed to the home building field through his position as Vice President of Sales at Quality Alarm Systems in Pensacola, Florida. Ron’s passion and energy to design and build homes is what sets him apart from the rest. He prides himself on building relationships with his customers that will last far beyond the completion of their new home.
Since 1998, Ron has guided ARK Builders as its president. He has led ARK Builders and its talented draftsman and construction team in the creation of countless fine homes on the Eastern Shore of Mobile Bay in Alabama. What makes Ron different than others is his laid back ease in which he guides you through the home-building process. Knowledgeable about the market, he is educated about what he does and is willing to answer questions in a way that you can understand.
Some personal things about Ron are that he and his wife, Amy, have been married since 1991 and have 3 children, R. Blake, Andrew & Kelsey, for whom the company was named.
He enjoys spending time with friends & family as well as dirt biking (which Amy is not so fond of). Traveling, boating, hanging out at our beaches and snow skiing are among his hobbies.
Amy Cuny
Owner/Manager/Designing/Decorating
Amy is a lifelong resident of the Eastern Shore and calls Baldwin County & the Eastern Shore home. She has a BS in Organizational Management from the University of Mobile and also has been a licensed real estate agent in the State of Alabama since 2009. She works at ARK Builders and is also a Realtor with Wise Living Real Estate.
Amy is a member of the Baldwin and Mobile County Association of Realtors, Eastern Shore Chamber of Commerce and the Women’s Council of Realtors. She utilizes her talents as Realtor®, Certified Residential Specialist, Seller Representative Specialist, Smart Home Specialist & ePro® to assist in making home building, buying and selling an easy process for all involved.
Previously, Amy has worked in the medical profession as a business office supervisor then later as an office manager. Managing the ARK office, she also works with Ron by assisting with customer support, decorating, researching new trends, marketing ARK and handling the accounts. She loves the area and helping others in home building, buying or selling real estate. She spends her off-time with family & friends as well as traveling. She enjoys volunteering and anything related to the beach/boating here in South Alabama..
Andrew Cuny
Project Coordinator
Andrew is the son of Ron & Amy and is the Project Manager at ARK Builders.
A lifelong resident and lover of the Eastern Shore and all it has to offer, Drew attended one of our many fine public schools (in Daphne). He attended the University of South Alabama and resides in Daphne.
Following in his dad’s footsteps, he is an integral part of our team. He oversees the finishing of all our homes and works daily to keep the project on schedule with the teams that work with us. Andrew also helps our sub-contractors by attending to their needs while working on these homes. He is invaluable, reliable and responsive to our client’s needs.
Andrew is married to Lydia and they reside in Daphne. His hobbies include kite-barding, working out and boating/beaching.

He is devoted to not only building a charming home, but is also committed to building one that is efficient. Ron first had a passion to build homes in 1995, when he built his first home. He and his wife, Amy, founded ARK Builders in 1998. The ARK in ARK Builders are their children's initials: Andrew, (Ronald) Blake and Kelsey.
