There are so many awesome places to dine along the Eastern Shore of Mobile Bay. When people come in town, we get asked “Where’s a good place to get a steak or seafood or Italian?” We are happy to share a couple of thoughts on where to get a great meal.

When we are in the mood for Italian, Ron and I both agree that you must checkout Gambino’s at 18 Laurel Avenue. While Ron loves to order the mozzarella sticks as an appetizer and Gambino’s Taste of Italy, I head right for the spicier Crab -Stuffed Bacon-Wrapped Grilled Jalapenos. These Jalapeño “poppers” are fresh, filled with crab meat, wrapped in bacon and grilled to perfection. Their lasagna is a must-try as is the ravioli. For an intimate setting, RBistro is the place for a glass of wine, a good steak and great conversation. We do suggest trying their shrimp and grits; and, make sure to grab dessert to go. RBistro is located in the heart of downtown at Fairhope at 334 Fairhope Avenue.

If you are craving seafood gumbo, look no further than Market by the Bay. Located at 365 S Greeno Road in Fairhope, Alabama, MBTB is located in a convenient spot and perfect for grabbing some gumbo on the go.
